Hi Richard,
Thankyou for pointing us to the standard factory settings for the mixture screw.
Mine is a 1993 Savage so the factory setting is 3 1/4 turns out. As you see from my posting, when I set mime by the sound and feel of the engine, I got 2 turns out. My white spacer has been removed. No other modifications have been made. I'm still using the standard exhaust.
My question for everyone is this : when the carb has been modified by removing the white spacer, will a new setting have to be found for the mixture screw ?
Should I leave mine at 2 turns out, or revert back to the factory setting of 3 1/4 ?

Happy Savage riding.
